Germany enters the 2026 World Cup Group E as the clear favorite to finish as the highest-scoring side, reflecting traders’ assessment of its superior attacking depth, technical quality, and historical goal tallies against comparable opposition. The four-time champions open against debutants Curaçao before facing Ivory Coast and Ecuador, matchups that align with expectations of high possession and multiple scoring opportunities per fixture. Ecuador and Ivory Coast sit in the next tier of implied probability due to solid recent qualification campaigns and capable forwards, yet their more balanced styles and tougher defensive tests limit upside relative to Germany. Curaçao’s low ranking and lack of prior World Cup experience cap its ceiling. With group stage matches beginning in mid-June and no prior results in the pool, market pricing centers on pre-tournament squad strength, recent form, and expected goal differentials rather than in-group momentum.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official leader as determined by FIFA World Cup rules. If multiple leaders are announced then this market will resolve to the team that conceded fewer total goals during the group stage. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to the team that is listed first alphabetically.
If the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition is cancelled, postponed after July 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no official leader declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
