The pre-tournament favorites, led by Spain, France, and England, enter the expanded 48-team 2026 FIFA World Cup with deep, balanced squads featuring multiple elite players across positions, supporting trader consensus that the eventual champion will likely finish unbeaten. Recent squad confirmations highlight strong defensive organizations and versatile attacking options among top contenders, reducing the risk of early or decisive losses in group play or knockouts. Historical patterns show that recent winners frequently secure titles with draws rather than defeats, and the current field lacks any single overwhelming side while featuring several teams with proven records in high-stakes matches. This setup favors an unbeaten outcome despite the longer path to the final.
