Hikaru Sato holds a clear edge in this W15 Tokyo second-round matchup on hard courts, backed by her WTA ranking near 517 and career-high of 335 compared to Kurea Hayasaka’s position around 1089. The 27-year-old Japanese veteran brings stronger recent form, including a straight-sets win in the opening round, along with greater match volume and a 62% career win rate on the ITF circuit. Hayasaka, an 18-year-old with limited senior experience and a 3-6 record this season, faces a steep test against the more seasoned opponent despite her youth and home-country familiarity. Surface consistency and physical durability will likely shape the outcome in this lower-tier event.
