Alesia Breaz, the 19-year-old Romanian ranked around 901, faces 27-year-old Italian Angelica Raggi, ranked near 590 with a career high of 515, in the first round of the ITF W15 Bucharest 3 on outdoor clay. Raggi enters with stronger recent results and greater professional experience on the ITF circuit, while Breaz benefits from local support and a solid 2026 win-loss record in lower-tier events. The match occurs early in the week-long tournament, with no reported injuries or withdrawals affecting either player. Clay-court consistency and stamina typically favor the higher-ranked veteran in such encounters, though Breaz’s home-soil comfort and youth provide realistic upset potential in a closely matched lower-level ITF draw.
