This market will resolve to the player that wins the 2026 World Chess Championship. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed player to win the 2026 World Chess Championship per the rules of FIDE, the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 World Chess Championship tournament is cancelled, postponed, or partially completed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source will be official information from FIDE; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Javokhir Sindarov's dominant victory in the 2026 FIDE Candidates Tournament—clinching first place with a round to spare and an undefeated 10/14 score—has positioned the 20-year-old Uzbek grandmaster as the clear favorite to dethrone reigning champion Gukesh Dommaraju. Sindarov's blistering early surge, including five wins in the first six rounds, established a multi-point lead over a field featuring established contenders like Fabiano Caruana and Anish Giri, reflecting superior recent form and calculation depth in classical chess. The upcoming title match in Geneva (November 25–December 15) pits two young prodigies against each other, with Sindarov benefiting from fresh momentum and the psychological edge of the challenger role, while Gukesh draws on his 2024 title-winning experience despite entering as the underdog in trader consensus. Market pricing aligns with Sindarov's strong head-to-head trajectory and current rating trajectory heading into the match.
