This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the 2. Bundesliga for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of 2. Bundesliga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of 2. Bundesliga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the 2. Bundesliga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026-27 2. Bundesliga runner-up market reflects a wide-open promotion chase among a deep field of clubs with recent top-flight experience or strong second-tier pedigrees. Newly relegated sides such as VfL Wolfsburg, 1. FC Heidenheim, and FC St. Pauli bring greater squad depth and infrastructure, yet early matchday results and pre-season form have kept probabilities tightly clustered as Nürnberg, Hannover 96, and others post competitive starts. Factors including summer transfers, managerial continuity, and the standard parity of the division—where mid-table teams routinely challenge—prevent any single contender from pulling clear. Traders appear to price in the realistic chance of multiple teams finishing within a few points of each other by May, sustaining the bunched implied probabilities around 37-38%.
