Rockstar's surprise August 6 announcement of "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look," premiering exclusively on Netflix August 27 at 3 p.m. ET before YouTube six hours later, serves as the main catalyst shaping trader views on its runtime. Insiders and Netflix metadata glitches have fueled speculation around a 20- to 30-minute narrated gameplay showcase, far longer than Rockstar's typical 5- to 7-minute reveals, aligning with prior leaks from sources like DarkViperAU. This extended format fits the escalating marketing push ahead of the November 19, 2026 release, with traders watching for any official runtime hints or further social posts in the coming weeks that could resolve the market before the drop.
