Early in the 2026-27 Liga MX campaign, the top goalscorer market remains tightly contested because no forward has established a sustained lead amid a balanced schedule and high-scoring environment across both Apertura and Clausura phases. Multiple attackers, including Salomón Rondón, Óscar Estupiñán, Lucas Ocampos, and Juninho, sit atop recent goal charts with comparable tallies through the opening weeks, supported by favorable fixtures and attacking systems at their clubs. Depth across Liga MX squads, variable defensive setups, and the two-tournament format spread scoring opportunities widely, preventing any single player from dominating implied probabilities. Trader consensus reflects this parity, with bunched pricing among established names and the broad field underscoring the potential for late surges or injuries to reshape the race.

Only goals scored in Liga MX matches will count. Goals scored in other competitions (e.g., Campeon de Campeones, CONCACAF Champions Cup, Leagues Cup, international matches) will not count for this market.
Goals scored during the Apertura, Clausura and Liguilla will all count toward this market's resolution.
If multiple players tie for the top goal scorer, this market will resolve to the tied player who scores fewer goals from penalty kicks during all phases of the 2026-27 Liga MX season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player with the higher xG during all phases of the 2026-27 Liga MX season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player whose last name comes first alphabetically.
If the 2026-27 Liga MX season is canceled or not completed by June 27, 2027, the market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official statistics from Liga MX. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
