Lacy posted elite 2025 production as a versatile back, while Hardy led the SEC in rushing yards before a May gunshot wound raised questions about his availability and workload. Other factors include favorable offensive schemes at programs like Missouri and Ole Miss, competition from emerging options such as Justice Haynes and Jadan Baugh, and the inherent variability of college workloads, injuries, and conference schedules that can shift volume quickly.
