Sporting CP holds a narrow points lead over Benfica in the Primeira Liga table with just one matchweek remaining, bolstered by a superior goal difference and more consistent results across the campaign. Their prolific attack has delivered strong home and away form, while Benfica’s unbeaten run has been undermined by frequent draws that have limited their ability to close the gap. The April Lisbon derby, where Benfica secured a dramatic 2-1 victory, provided a temporary boost but failed to overturn Sporting’s overall advantage. With Porto already confirmed as champions, traders view Sporting CP’s positioning as decisive for securing second place, though Benfica retains slim mathematical hopes if results align perfectly in the final fixtures.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Primeira Liga as finishing in second place. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2025-2026 Primeira Liga season (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No".
If the 2025-2026 Primeira Liga season is cancelled, postponed after June 7, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Primeira Liga. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
