Kirk Cousins holds the clear edge as the Raiders' Week 1 starting quarterback due to head coach Klint Kubiak's repeated confirmation that the veteran will open training camp as QB1 with the bulk of first-team reps. The Raiders signed Cousins as a short-term bridge following their selection of top overall pick Fernando Mendoza in the 2026 draft, prioritizing the rookie's development over immediate playing time. Aidan O'Connell remains on the roster but sits third on the depth chart with limited upside in the current setup. Market pricing reflects this established hierarchy from official team statements and camp reports. An injury to Cousins during preseason or an unexpectedly dominant performance by Mendoza could shift the picture, though both remain low-probability outcomes at this stage.

In the event two listed quarterbacks take the field on the first offensive play of the Las Vegas Raiders’ Week 1 game, this market will resolve in favor of the player directly receiving the snap. If neither listed quarterback directly receives the snap, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically.
If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or no official starter has taken the field within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL and/or the Las Vegas Raiders; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
