This market will resolve according to the official UFC Light Heavyweight division champion on December 31, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET. Only official UFC division champions will count. Interim champions will not count. If the relevant belt is vacant at this market’s check time, or there is otherwise no champion in the specified division, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC (https://www.ufc.com/athletes).Carlos Ulberg captured the vacant UFC light heavyweight title with a first-round knockout of Jiri Prochazka at UFC 327 in April 2026, despite suffering a torn ACL during the bout. The New Zealander underwent surgery and has ruled out any activity for the remainder of the year while targeting an early 2027 return, leaving no title defenses or interim bouts scheduled through December. Recent rankings place Magomed Ankalaev and other contenders in active contention, yet the absence of an immediate title fight or vacancy keeps the belt with Ulberg under standard UFC resolution rules. This extended layoff and confirmed champion status underpin the overwhelming market consensus on Ulberg through year-end, though an unexpected interim decision or unforeseen roster shift could still alter the outcome.
