The Italian left-hander advanced with a straight-sets win over Mikhail Kukushkin in the first qualifying round and showed competitive form in Stuttgart, including a quarterfinal run where he pushed top players before losses. Alex Bolt, ranked around 157 and primarily a Challenger-level veteran, comes in after a three-set victory over Jamie Mackenzie but has limited recent success at the ATP level and a career-high ranking well behind Bellucci’s. The pair have met multiple times previously, with head-to-head trends favoring the younger Italian’s aggressive baseline game. Grass-court factors such as serve effectiveness and return pressure, combined with Bellucci’s superior recent momentum, shape the current trader consensus around a 60-65% implied probability for the Italian to advance.
