Herbert and Krawietz, the eighth seeds and a veteran doubles pairing with multiple ATP titles, face Canadian wildcards Duncan Chan and Alexis Galarneau in the second round of the 2026 National Bank Open men's doubles in Montreal. The match occurs on outdoor hard courts following first-round wins for both teams, including Chan/Galarneau's upset over Marcelo Melo and Alexander Zverev. Herbert/Krawietz bring superior doubles experience, consistent recent form on the surface, and a deeper tournament resume, while the home pair benefits from local support and momentum but lacks comparable head-to-head pedigree against top competition. Any late roster or fitness updates could shift implied probabilities in this matchup.
