Adam Walton faces Ignacio Buse in the Cincinnati Open second round on outdoor hard courts, where the higher-ranked Peruvian (No. 33-36) enters with a first-round bye after a strong 2026 season that included an ATP 500 title in Hamburg and deep runs on varied surfaces. The Australian (No. 97-98) arrives with momentum after a dominant first-round win over Nicolas Mejia and prior hard-court success, including a Los Cabos semifinal. Their first meeting pits Buse’s greater Masters-level experience and ranking against Walton’s current form and hard-court adaptation, with schedule position and any late adjustments to playing conditions as key variables for traders.
