Chen Hui Ho, a young Taiwanese player entering via wildcard, faces the more established Kazuki Nishiwaki in an early-round or qualifying match at the ITF M25 Taipei on hard courts. Nishiwaki, a Japanese veteran ranked near the low 1,200s on the ATP ladder and seeded tenth in the draw, brings greater match experience and consistency at this level compared with Ho’s limited senior results. Recent form shows Nishiwaki competing regularly in Asian ITF events, while Ho’s background includes junior and college tennis with fewer professional wins. Home-country support and surface familiarity offer Ho some situational edge, but the ranking and experience gap typically favors the higher-seeded player in straight sets. No confirmed injuries or late withdrawals have been reported ahead of the August 17 start.
