The BMW Championship field stays exceptionally tight, with traders assigning near-identical implied probabilities around 50% to a deep roster of contenders including Ludvig Aberg, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, and Xander Schauffele. This consensus stems from the PGA Tour’s overall depth, where recent form, course-specific ball-striking and putting metrics, and FedEx Cup playoff positioning leave no dominant favorite. Multiple players arrive with strong momentum from the regular season or prior playoff events, while variables such as weather, pin placements, and weekend pressure routinely produce unexpected winners. Historical results at the BMW Championship reinforce the pattern of broad outcomes rather than repeat dominance by top-ranked golfers.
