The 2026–27 A-League Men campaign opens in mid-October with defending premiers Newcastle Jets and champions Auckland FC among a dozen clubs holding nearly identical implied probabilities for runner-up status. Pre-season squad rebuilding through targeted transfers, including Awer Mabil’s arrival at Melbourne City and Tom Aldred’s addition at Brisbane Roar, plus multiple coaching appointments, has left roster strengths evenly matched. Fixture congestion from Asian continental commitments for Newcastle, Adelaide United, and Melbourne Victory adds another layer of uncertainty, while the absence of meaningful recent match form keeps competitive balance intact across the league.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of A League Soccer for the 2026-27 season per the rules of A League Soccer (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the A League Soccer; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
