The 2026-27 Scottish Premiership runner-up market stays tightly bunched after the opening matchdays because Celtic’s projected title dominance leaves second place wide open among a deep group of challengers. Rangers, under new management with added squad depth, sit as the clearest alternative but face inconsistency risks following a prior third-place finish. Mid-table sides such as Hearts, Hibernian, and Motherwell benefit from strong pre-season recruitment and recent European or domestic form, while promoted Falkirk and clubs like Aberdeen and Kilmarnock show early resilience in a balanced fixture list. With 38 matches remaining and no dominant pattern yet established, the wisdom of crowds reflected in the pricing underscores high uncertainty over which side will sustain the consistency needed for second.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Scottish Premiership for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Scottish Premiership (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Scottish Premiership; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
