Rwanda Women host Zimbabwe High Performance XI in the opening match of the 2026 Kwibuka Women's T20 Tournament at familiar Gahanga Stadium in Kigali. The hosts enter with strong regional momentum, including recent victories over Zimbabwe development sides, anchored by experienced batters such as Fanny Utagushimaninde and all-round contributions from Henriette Ishimwe and Gisele Ishimwe. Zimbabwe's squad features promising domestic talents like Adel Zimunu and Kelly Ndiraya, offering greater squad depth despite limited senior international exposure for many players. Home pitch conditions and recent form provide the primary advantages for Rwanda, while Zimbabwe's resources could support consistency in batting depth and bowling attack. The sides last met in this event during the 2025 edition.
