West Indies women enter their Group stage clash against Scotland on June 18 carrying strong recent form, including a seven-wicket victory over New Zealand, powered by experienced T20 performers such as Hayley Matthews and a balanced attack suited to English conditions. Scotland, an associate side, secured their maiden Women's T20 World Cup win by chasing down Ireland with 40 runs to spare, led by Kathryn Bryce’s all-round display, boosting confidence ahead of the Leeds fixture. The matchup pits WI’s superior depth, power-hitting, and historical success in global events against Scotland’s improving batting partnerships and home-soil momentum in a 20-over format. Pitch and weather factors at the venue could influence run rates, while both sides monitor any late squad adjustments before the contest.
