**South Africa and India meet in a Group 1 clash at Old Trafford on June 21, four days from now.** India tops the early points table after two wins, showing strong batting depth and bowling variety, while South Africa sits third following a mixed start that includes a loss to Australia. The Proteas enter with recent momentum from a 4-1 T20I series victory over India in April, bolstered by the return of experienced fast bowler Shabnim Ismail and improved squad depth. Key factors include both sides’ recent form, home conditions at a familiar English venue favoring balanced attacks, and the high-stakes group context where results directly influence knockout qualification paths. Trader consensus reflects India’s historical edge in major tournaments offset by South Africa’s proven ability to compete closely in bilateral encounters.
