The Philadelphia Phillies (around 38-33, second in the NL East) host the Miami Marlins (roughly 36-36, fourth) at Citizens Bank Park in a three-game interleague series starting June 15. Philadelphia’s stronger overall roster, home-field advantage, and recent form give traders consensus around the Phillies as clear favorites. Miami’s pitching staff faces notable strain from multiple injuries, including starters Janson Junk (shin), Josh Ekness (calf), and Eury Pérez (gracilis), plus reliever placements, which limits rotation depth and bullpen reliability. The Marlins’ offense and defense remain competitive but must overcome these absences against a Phillies lineup featuring established power threats. Schedule positioning in the NL East race adds minor playoff-implication weight for Philadelphia, while the Marlins focus on building consistency amid roster challenges.
