The NHL's 2027 championship market reflects a tightly bunched field driven by league-wide parity and the long off-season timeline ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. Multiple contenders sit near even implied probabilities because roster turnover through free agency, the draft, and trades can quickly alter team trajectories, while recent seasons have shown that strong regular-season records and playoff experience do not guarantee sustained success. Factors such as goaltender health, power-play efficiency, and injury resilience remain fluid this early, allowing teams with solid depth and young talent to stay competitive in trader consensus. Historical patterns of upsets and the absence of a clear dominant club further compress probabilities across the board.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to be named as the champion of NHL for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NHL (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
