Both Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins enter the 2026 campaign with comparable roster depth and divisional history that frequently produces split results in their annual home-and-home series. Josh Allen’s dual-threat presence and the Dolphins’ speed-based attack under Tua Tagovailoa create stylistic matchups that have yielded balanced outcomes in recent years. Offseason additions along the lines and in the secondary, combined with 2026 draft capital allocated to defensive fronts, have narrowed perceived edges in run defense and pass rush. Schedule strength, travel within the AFC East, and typical late-season rest or injury variables further compress the gap, sustaining trader consensus that either club or a 1-1 tie remains equally plausible until the games are played.
