This market will resolve to "Yes" if any player records more than 23 sacks during the 2026-27 NFL regular season, thereby breaking the NFL single-season sacks record. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The NFL single-season sacks record is 23, set by Myles Garrett in 2025. Matching the record exactly will not be sufficient; a player must exceed 23 sacks for this market to resolve to "Yes". Only regular season games count. Playoff games, including Wild Card, Divisional, Conference Championship, and Pro Football Championship games, do not count. A player's total is the total he records across all of his 2026-27 NFL regular season games, including games played for more than one team. Half sacks count as 0.5 toward a player's total, per official NFL scoring. Sacks have been an official NFL statistic since 1982. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined whether any player exceeded 23 sacks within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The NFL single-season sacks record of 22.5 remains a high bar, reflected in the near-even trader consensus around whether any edge rusher surpasses it during the 2026 campaign. Pass-heavy schemes and expanded regular-season opportunities have boosted individual pressures in recent years, yet injuries, frequent double-teams, quarterback mobility, and coordinated offensive line play continue to cap most totals below 20. Elite pass rushers entering the season with strong camp reports or favorable matchups could shift momentum toward a record chase, while depth chart changes, midseason trades, or defensive scheme adjustments often suppress standout production. Historical precedent shows such outliers are rare, keeping the market balanced heading into Week 1.
