The 2026-27 Süper Lig campaign opened in mid-August with three newly promoted sides—Erzurumspor, Amedspor, and Çorum FK—replacing Antalyaspor, Kayserispor, and Fatih Karagümrük. These clubs enter with minimal top-flight infrastructure and squad depth, a factor reflected in early match results that place Erzurumspor at the foot of the table after heavy defeats. Pre-season forecasts consistently flag the promoted trio, alongside Eyüpspor and Gençlerbirliği, as the primary relegation candidates due to limited transfer reinforcement and the established gap to mid-table sides. The bottom-three finish will hinge on points accumulation against direct rivals and adaptation speed in the opening months.
