Recent developments in Tiger Woods' recovery have shaped trader consensus around a 57% implied probability he will not appear in a PGA Tour event during 2026. Multiple back surgeries, including disc replacement last fall, combined with a February rollover accident, have forced him to step away from competitive golf and miss the PGA Championship. The USGA has confirmed he is not expected at the U.S. Open or Senior Open, while his limited TGL Finals return in March highlighted persistent fitness concerns and slower healing at age 50. Historical patterns show extended absences after such setbacks, with Woods last competing on the PGA Tour in 2024, leaving his schedule outlook heavily dependent on further medical clearance.
