The WSOP Player of the Year race remains exceptionally tight heading into the final leg at WSOP Paradise, with William Foxen, Shaun Deeb, and Naoya Kihara separated by fewer than 30 points after the Las Vegas and Europe festivals. Only a player's top 15 results count toward the leaderboard, amplifying the impact of deep runs or bracelets in high-buy-in events and leaving room for late surges. Multiple contenders including Justin Liberto, Joshua Arieh, Jesse Lonis, and Eelis Pärssinen sit within striking distance, while consistent cashes from grinders like Nicholas Schulman and Benny Glaser have kept pressure on the leaders. This points-based system, combined with the upcoming Bahamas schedule, sustains competitive dynamics where small edges in recent form or field size can shift implied probabilities dramatically among the frontrunners.
