Norway enters the IIHF World Championship matchup with a clear edge rooted in greater roster depth and recent international experience. The Norwegians finished 12th last year and have maintained a stronger program overall, while Italy returns to the top division for the first time since 2022 and has looked outmatched in early tournament action, including a 6-0 loss to Canada. Both sides face tough group opposition, but Norway’s ability to generate offense and limit high-quality chances aligns with trader consensus reflected in the current pricing. Recent form and head-to-head trends further tilt the implied probability toward the visitors.
