In the ITF M25 Hurghada hard-court Round of 32, higher-ranked Russian Grigory Shebekin (No. 835) faces German David Eichenseher (No. 1213), both 20-year-olds with no prior singles head-to-head. Shebekin enters with superior recent form, posting a 3-2 record in his last five matches including straight-set wins over Kris van Wyk and Karim Ibrahim in April ITF events on hard courts. Eichenseher is 1-4 lately but gained momentum from a doubles title last week in M15 Hurghada, partnering Peter Alam to defeat Shebekin/Gretskiy 6-3, 7-6(7) on May 9 amid familiar Egyptian conditions. No injuries or withdrawals reported; baseline rallies likely on medium-paced hard courts, with ITF-level volatility heightening upset potential.
