Mroz and McCormick meet in the round of 16 at the ITF M25 Champaign on outdoor hard courts, a surface that rewards consistent baseline play and strong serving. Mroz, a University of Illinois senior with an ATP high of 1679 and a strong 2025-26 college record including ranked wins, brings recent match fitness and experience against high-level competition. McCormick holds a slight edge in trader pricing, reflecting his ITF results and familiarity with the event level. Limited head-to-head history leaves the matchup relatively even, with both players needing to navigate a deep draw where rest, recovery, and adaptation to conditions will matter. Late scratches or fatigue from prior rounds could shift momentum quickly in this best-of-three format.
