Keisuke Saitoh holds a narrow ranking advantage (around 671) over Hunter Heck (near 754) entering their M15 Tokyo hard-court matchup. Saitoh defeated Heck convincingly in straight sets earlier this year on the same surface in Gimcheon and benefits from competing in his home country. Heck has posted recent wins in Tokyo qualifying and main-draw matches but faces a player with stronger ITF results on hard courts this season. Both compete in a low-prize-money event where form, recent match volume, and adaptation to conditions often outweigh minor ranking gaps. No reported injuries or late withdrawals alter the field.
