Viktorija Golubic enters the Nottingham Open qualifying final as the higher-ranked player at No. 70 with stronger 2026 singles results and proven grass-court form, including back-to-back strong showings on the surface last season. Sofia Kenin, ranked No. 103 and sitting at just 3-13 for the year, faces a steep challenge after inconsistent results and early exits in recent events. Their head-to-head record favors Kenin overall, yet Golubic claimed a decisive straight-sets win on grass in their most recent meeting at Eastbourne. Both players compete for a main-draw spot on the fast grass courts, where serve effectiveness and quick points typically decide outcomes in qualifying.
