The Roland Garros qualifying opener on red clay features French player Jessika Ponchet against Australian Priscilla Hon, with both ranked in the 130-180 range entering the event. Ponchet brings recent momentum from three wins in her last five matches and benefits from home-crowd support plus established clay-court experience at the venue. Hon arrives with a mixed record this season, including several three-set losses and earlier shoulder concerns that required management, though she secured a first-round win via retirement at the Australian Open. Surface preference, recent scheduling rest, and head-to-head history on clay will likely shape the outcome in what remains a tightly contested qualifier.
