If the 2026 NCAA FBS season concludes early, is shortened, or is truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available NCAA FBS statistics for completed games. If the 2026 NCAA FBS regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 3, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which player led NCAA FBS in passing touchdowns within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NCAA (https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Early in the 2026 NCAA FBS season, the passing touchdowns race remains wide open after just two or three games per team, producing a tightly bunched field of contenders.** Jayden Maiava leads with 10 TDs through USC’s first three contests in a high-volume offense, but several others—including Darian Mensah (Miami), Kevin Jennings (SMU), Josh Hoover (Indiana), Gunner Stockton (Georgia), Luke Weaver (San Jose State), and Cutter Boley (Arizona State)—sit at or near eight TDs with strong efficiency and supporting casts. Transfers into potent attacks, favorable early schedules, and the potential for air-raid or spread systems to sustain volume keep dozens of quarterbacks viable. With 10–12 regular-season games plus potential conference title and bowl matchups remaining, plus the risk of injuries, defensive adjustments, or offensive line issues, trader consensus reflects broad uncertainty and no dominant frontrunner.
