The 2026-27 Premier League season opened with the three promoted sides—Coventry City, Hull City, and Ipswich Town—widely viewed as the primary candidates for the bottom of the table due to typical adaptation challenges against established Premier League squads. Early results have been mixed, with Hull and Ipswich securing opening-weekend wins while Coventry fell to Arsenal, yet the long campaign ahead leaves ample scope for variance in form, injuries, and results. Multiple clubs with comparable squad depth, limited top-flight experience, and similar financial constraints create tight clustering in implied probabilities, as any could slide into the drop zone amid tough fixtures or inconsistent performances. Trader consensus reflects this uncertainty across a broad group rather than a single standout favorite.

If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish in last place in the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season (e.g., they are mathematically guaranteed to finish above 20th), this market will resolve to "No".
In the event of a tie for last place, this market will resolve based on the club officially recognized by the Premier League as finishing in 20th place. If multiple clubs are officially recognized as finishing in last place, this market will resolve to the club whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season is cancelled, postponed after June 13, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no last-place club declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official information from the Premier League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
