This market will resolve to "Yes" if the team winning 1st place at the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026, currently scheduled for October 3 to October 17, 2026, is a Western team. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. If the winner of the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026 is not determined by October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizers, TJ Sports and Huya. However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/Demacia_Cup_Global_Invitational/2026) may also be used.**Eastern regional depth and historical dominance shape the current trader consensus favoring an LPL or LCK winner.** The 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational fields 12 non-Worlds teams across six regions in a Swiss-to-single-elimination bracket (Bo1/Bo3 Swiss, Bo5 knockouts) held primarily in China. LPL and LCK each send three squads (typically their 5th–7th seeds), while LEC and LCS contribute two each (4th–5th seeds), with single slots for LCP and CBLOL. LPL and LCK rosters consistently outperform Western and minor-region sides in international play due to deeper talent pools, superior macro execution, and stronger individual mechanics, even among mid-tier teams. Western squads face additional challenges from travel, the home-region environment for Chinese teams, and limited recent head-to-head success against Eastern competition. These structural factors drive the 74.5% implied probability on “No.”
