The Knicks defeated the Spurs 4-1 in the 2026 NBA Finals, which concluded with a 94-90 Knicks victory in Game 5 on June 13. Mike Breen served as the lead play-by-play announcer across all five ABC broadcasts, delivering his signature single “Bang!” calls during several clutch moments. However, the double “Bang Bang” variant—typically reserved for the most dramatic, series-altering shots—did not occur in any game, including the multiple one-possession finishes and the largest comeback in Finals history during Game 4. With the series now complete and no further scheduled broadcasts remaining, trader consensus reflects the straightforward absence of the specific call. The only theoretical shifts would require unplayed additional games or a retroactive reinterpretation of existing audio, both of which are precluded by the concluded schedule.
