Luka Pavlovic enters this Cancun Challenger qualifying match as the clear market favorite with roughly two-thirds implied probability, reflecting stronger recent results and a higher seeding position compared with Felipe Meligeni Alves. The Brazilian, using protected ranking, has shown solid form in lower-tier M25 clay events this summer but sits well outside the top 500 and faces a tough stylistic matchup against the Frenchman’s aggressive baseline game. Pavlovic’s path to the main draw benefits from consistent recent performances on the Challenger circuit, while Alves must overcome both ranking disparity and limited recent hard-court exposure. The outcome hinges on serve efficiency and error management in what projects as a competitive first-round qualifier.
