Jannik Sinner’s status as world No. 1 and recent Wimbledon title defense, where he defeated Alexander Zverev in the final, underpin trader consensus around his 50.5% implied probability for the 2026 US Open. The Italian has captured multiple Masters 1000 titles and maintained strong hard-court form earlier in the season, though knee and scheduling concerns led to withdrawals from the Canadian and Cincinnati Opens to prioritize recovery ahead of the August 30 start. Carlos Alcaraz, at 12.5%, benefits from his Australian Open victory and overall consistency but faces recent wrist issues, while Zverev’s French Open success and hard-court experience support his 11.6% position. Lower probabilities for Djokovic, Shelton, and others reflect the top-heavy field and typical variance in Grand Slam outcomes on outdoor hard courts.
