The tightly bunched 49.5% implied probabilities across all listed clubs reflect an unusually open 2026 Liga AUF Uruguaya race for runner-up honors, driven by the split Apertura-Clausura format and early-season volatility. Traditional powers Nacional and Peñarol remain strong on paper through squad depth and head-to-head pedigree, yet current Clausura form shows Racing Club Montevideo, Deportivo Maldonado, and Albion challenging at the top with superior recent points-per-game and goal differentials. Mid-table sides like Montevideo Wanderers, Liverpool Montevideo, and Boston River carry realistic surge potential via home advantage and favorable fixtures, while injuries, rotation, and the league's playoff qualification rules keep outcomes fluid. No team has established clear separation yet.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Uruguayan Primera División for the 2026 season per the rules of Uruguayan Primera División (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Uruguayan Primera División; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
