The early stages of the 2026-27 Scottish Premiership campaign highlight significant uncertainty around the runner-up spot, as Celtic are widely expected to claim another title based on squad depth and recent form. Multiple clubs enter with comparable prospects after key off-season moves, including Rangers' new management and reinforcements aiming to close the gap on the champions, Hearts' loss of influential players such as captain Lawrence Shankland, and squad adjustments at Aberdeen, Hibernian, and Motherwell. Early match results, including Celtic's strong opening wins, have done little to separate the chasing pack, leaving traders pricing a broad field of contenders near even levels amid the league's typical parity outside the Old Firm.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Scottish Premiership for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Scottish Premiership (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Scottish Premiership; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
