The 2026-27 Serbian SuperLiga season, which kicked off in mid-July with Red Star Belgrade as defending champions and clear title favorites, features an unusually open contest for second place. Early match results show a cluster of clubs—Partizan, Vojvodina, IMT, Čukarički, and the promoted sides Mačva and Zemun—posting comparable points totals after the opening rounds, with no team establishing a sustained lead in the standings. Partizan’s ongoing financial constraints and squad turnover have tempered expectations despite their historical pedigree, while Vojvodina’s recent consistency and IMT’s strong start keep them in the mix. The league’s split format after 26 rounds further compresses the race, as several teams with similar squad depth and home/away records remain within striking distance of the championship group. This parity underpins the tightly bunched trader probabilities across the field.
