The early stage of 2027 AFCON qualification, which began in September 2026 across 12 groups, has left a deep field of contenders bunched together because no single nation has pulled clear through consistent results or standout squad depth. Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Tunisia sit near the top of trader pricing around 33-34% implied probability, reflecting their strong recent form, experienced attacking options, and solid qualification paths, while Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and Algeria hover near 25% amid roster continuity and historical pedigree. Morocco and Egypt trail at lower levels partly due to early qualifier absences and transitional elements. Co-hosts Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda are already assured spots, further spreading opportunity, and the 24-team finals format plus typical upsets in African football keep the outright market tightly contested ahead of November and March windows.
