The Austrian Bundesliga's 2026-27 campaign opens with a tightly contested race for the most clean sheets, as no single side has pulled ahead in trader pricing. Traditional defensive standouts like Sturm Graz and Red Bull Salzburg share the spotlight with LASK, Rapid Wien, and Austria Wien due to comparable squad depth, experienced goalkeepers, and recent form that emphasized organized back lines. Mid-table clubs such as Wolfsberger AC and TSV Hartberg add pressure through physical styles and set-piece resilience, while promoted sides like Grazer AK and SC Austria Lustenau introduce variables in early fixtures. Pre-season training reports and fixture congestion have yet to create clear separation, leaving the field balanced ahead of the opening matchdays.
