Caroline Elliott holds a commanding lead in the B.C. Conservative Party leadership race ahead of the May 23-29 preferential ballot, reflecting her consistent first-place standing in recent member surveys and strong performance across recent debates. The party's membership has surged to over 42,000 since former leader John Rustad's December 2025 resignation, expanding the electorate and amplifying Elliott's organizational edge on priorities such as housing affordability, repeal of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act, and economic growth measures. Kerry-Lynne Findlay remains the clearest alternative with federal parliamentary experience, while the remaining contenders trail due to narrower support bases and limited recent momentum. Traders assess Elliott's position as durable given the ballot structure and absence of major late shifts.
