This market will resolve according to the team that wins the 2026 IIHF World Championship hockey tournament. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2026 IIHF World Championship per the rules of the tournament (e.g. they are eliminated in the knockout stages), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 IIHF World Championship is cancelled, postponed after June 14, 2026, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the IIHF World Championship tournament organizers (https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2026/wm); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Canada enters the 2026 IIHF World Championship in Switzerland as the clear market leader due to its deep roster featuring Sidney Crosby, Macklin Celebrini, and a mix of NHL veterans and young talent under coach Misha Donskov. Recent roster finalization and the addition of experienced players have reinforced trader confidence in the Canadians’ ability to navigate the group stage and medal rounds. Switzerland benefits from hosting duties in Zurich and Fribourg, boosting its implied probability through home-ice familiarity and strong recent tournament runs. Finland and Sweden maintain competitive positioning thanks to proven international depth and goaltending, while the defending-champion United States faces a slightly longer path after roster adjustments. These factors align with the current consensus reflecting real-time developments in team composition and scheduling.
