The 20-year-old Korean benefits from playing close to home in Andong, where local crowd support and familiarity with conditions can influence baseline rallies and return games. Saitoh, a 25-year-old Japanese player ranked near 825, brings greater ATP experience and a career-high singles ranking of 552, though his recent results show inconsistency in lower-tier events.
