Multiple programs arrive with recent conference titles or strong Group of 5 records, experienced rosters, and solid continuity, while others feature coaching transitions and roster turnover. Preseason outlooks highlight Boise State as the most proven but note no wide gap in projected strength across the field. With the season opener set for September 5 and limited head-to-head history in this grouping, trader consensus reflects balanced uncertainty across contenders rather than any entrenched favorite.
